Terms of use

The agreement between you and AirCPD Ltd for using the aircpd app and the Plus subscription.

Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms are between you and AirCPD Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17405853), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them.

If your employer or professional body provides aircpd, its agreement with us also covers your use. Where the two differ on something the organisation pays for, its agreement applies.

Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • Give accurate details, and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. Your account is for you alone.
  • You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, email support@aircpdapp.com.

You own what you put into aircpd: your entries, reflections and evidence. You give us permission to store, process and show it only so we can provide aircpd to you, and to the organisations and bodies you choose to share it with.

You confirm you have the right to upload the evidence you add.

aircpd helps you keep a CPD record and get it ready to submit. It is not a regulator or a professional body, and it does not decide whether your CPD meets your requirements. Your professional body or regulator decides that.

You're responsible for checking your record and what you submit. Nothing is submitted without your approval.

Acton's suggestions can be wrong. Check each one before you accept it. AI never writes your reflections.

Connecting Google Calendar, Google Drive, Outlook Calendar or OneDrive is optional. aircpd reads only the calendars and folders you choose, never changes anything in them, and you can disconnect at any time. Google's and Microsoft's own terms continue to apply to those accounts.

aircpd is free for individuals. Plus adds features, such as more Acton scans and connecting accounts from more than one provider. What Plus includes is described in the app when you subscribe.

If an organisation provides your aircpd, what you get is set by its plan.

  • Who bills you. You buy Plus in the app through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google bills the account you use there, under their terms. We never see your payment details.
  • Price. The price is shown in the store before you confirm. If it changes, the store tells you before you pay the new price.
  • Renewal. Plus renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Apple needs at least 24 hours' notice before the period ends.
  • Cancelling. Cancel in your store settings:
    • iPhone or iPad: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions
    • Android: Google Play, then your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions
You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Deleting the app or your account does not cancel Plus. Cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
  • Refunds. Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies. We can't refund a store purchase ourselves. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Don't:

  • record activity you didn't do, or evidence that isn't genuine
  • upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything unlawful
  • try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours
  • copy, reverse engineer or resell the app
  • disrupt aircpd or the people who use it

We keep improving aircpd, so features change. We work to keep it running but can't promise it will never be interrupted. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.

You can stop using aircpd and delete your account at any time: see Support.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We tell you first where we can. When an account closes, your data is handled as the Privacy policy describes.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

We're responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We're not responsible for:

  • loss of profit, business or opportunity
  • a professional body's or regulator's decision about your CPD
  • problems caused by services we don't control, such as Google, Microsoft, Apple or your mobile network

Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Plus in the 12 months before the claim.

These terms are between you and AirCPD Ltd, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content, its maintenance or support, or any claim about it. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
