Regulators keep finding the same thing: training that became a tick-box exercise.

Licence conditions expect trained staff at induction and on refresh, and expect you to show the outcome rather than the attendance sheet. aircpd evidences what each person actually completed, across every venue and every remote team.

The shape of the problem

Gambling operators carry two heavy training obligations at once. Anti-money-laundering training runs on one clock, with a written record requirement attached where the operator is a casino. Safer gambling and customer interaction training runs on another, and the regulator expects operators to be able to demonstrate the outcome of evaluating how well it works.

The workforce makes it harder. A retail estate has high turnover, shift patterns and hundreds of sites, and a remote operation adds customer-facing teams who never set foot in a venue. Induction training is the easy part. Proving that every person received a refresher, and when, is the part that fails on inspection.

Where aircpd helps

Induction and refresher, evidenced per person.

Not a signature sheet in a drawer at a venue. A dated record per employee, visible by site, region or team.

In-venue sessions captured at the door.

Publish the session, generate a QR code, and attendance files itself for each attendee to confirm.

Your MLRO's own training, on the record.

Supervisors have specifically found reporting officers going without regular training. That is the easiest gap to close and the hardest to explain.

Evidence of outcome, not attendance.

Confirmed activity, attached evidence and reflection where it helps, so what you show a regulator is what happened rather than who signed in.

“One regulator reported repeated instances of operators failing to give relevant staff, including money laundering reporting officers, regular training, and described anti-money-laundering training as having become a tick-box exercise.”
